Our Story

Sustainability Management Consulting was created to help others understand how simple sustainability can be. We care about people, planet, and profit very deeply, and know we can inspire other business owners to see the benefits as well as risks of managing for sustainability.

Angela and Jim Casler possess a long history of management experience in multiple industries that enables them to offer solutions that are feasible and viable to clients.

Angela Casler has a wealth of senior and middle level management experience within industries spanning banking and finance, international banking, heavy highway trucking, restaurant, business development, training, business development, and sustainability management consulting. She is also an instructor for the California State University, Chico, College of Business, Department of Management since 2006. Her primary focus is on sustainability management, management, global business, and business communications. She has the opportunity to interact with students as a faculty advisor for several student organizations, is the Minor in Managing for Sustainability Coordinator, and is the Sustainable Business Partnership Director. She obtained her MBA from Cameron University and her BS in Management from the University of Maryland.

Jim possesses a wealth of management experience in aviation, auditing, inspection, quality control, fleet management, logistics, facilities, equipment, health and saftey, and supply chain management. As a team, they are able to bring their experience to a diverse set of clientele.

We know how busy people are so services are designed to implement simple goals immediately. Building a mindset of sustainability takes more time so we offer training and development to ensure we help manage the change. Building awareness is motivating and creates a new sense of purpose for most of our clients. We are also proud that we save our clients money right away by managing resources. You can expect your payback period on an assessment to be approximately 1 day to 2-3 months.
